4 years agoChicago Cubs outfielder Jason Heyward (hand) was removed from Sunday's game due to a right hand issue, according to Jordan Bastian of MLB.com. Heyward was replaced by a pinch-hitter in the bottom of the ninth inning, and Bastian reports that he is currently being examined by team medical staff. He has struggled at the plate this year, slashing .173/.239/.317 over 32 games. There's no word yet as to what the injury is specifically or how long it may keep him out of the lineup.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
