4 years agoOakland Athletics third baseman Matt Chapman snapped a 2-for-14 streak on Sunday afternoon, as he went 3-for-4 with a run scored in a 4-3 loss to the Rays. It was his first multi-hit performance since April 29, and his first three-hit performance since April 12, as he raised his season line to .213/.319/.393. He's managed to heat up at the plate in the month of May, slashing .281/.361/.406 over nine games in what could be a sign that he's beginning to turn things around.
