4 years agoAtlanta Braves first baseman Freddie Freeman is waking up. The 31-year-old star went 3-for-3 with a walk on Sunday during the club's 6-1 victory over the Philadelphia Phillies. He also slugged his ninth home run of the season. Freeman has been hitting for power in 2021 but he has an uncharacteristically low .217 batting even after his three-hit performance. He had an inconsistent April and then opened May ice-cold with a five-game hitless streak. The last two games have been encouraging for Freeman owners, though. He's 4-for-7 with two home runs and a BB-K of 3-0 during that stretch. With a BABIP of .193, the hits are bound to start dropping in for the veteran first baseman.--Marc Hulet - RotoBaller
