4 years agoOakland Athletics starting pitcher Cole Irvin allowed four runs, three earned, across six innings in a loss to the Rays on Sunday. Irvin allowed four hits and only struck out three against a Tampa lineup that came into the contest with the second-highest K-rate versus LHP. Irvin now sports a 3.29 ERA with a 1.07 WHIP across 41 innings in his first season in Oakland. A swinging-strike rate under 10 percent and a CSW rate of just 25 percent mean Irvin is not a must-start pitcher in fantasy despite some decent stats.
