4 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies starting pitcher Aaron Nola allowed five runs in four innings pitched in a loss to the Braves on Sunday night. Nola, yet again, was hit hard in the first inning as four Braves crossed the plate before some of the full-capacity crowd made it to their seats. This start ballooned Nola's first-inning ERA up to 6.75 as the Phillies' ace has been hit hard in the opening frame. Nola is a talented pitcher, he's sporting a strong 30.2 percent CSW rate and has posted two seasons with 200 strikeouts in his career, but these first-inning struggles are a concern. Nola should still be considered a must-start ace in fantasy despite some recent struggles. He'll look to right the ship in another tough matchup with the Blue Jays on Saturday.--Mike Schwarzenbach - RotoBaller
