J.D. Davis Unlikely To Come Off Injured List Wednesday
4 years agoNew York Mets third baseman J.D. Davis (hand), currently on the 10-day injured list, does not appear likely to come off the IL on Wednesday when first eligible. Davis sprained his hand on a swing he took in his final at-bat against the Phillies on May 2. Davis already spent time on the IL earlier this season due to a hand contusion. Over 41 at-bats in 2021, Davis has posted a .390/.479/.610 slash line with two home runs and seven RBI. During Davis' absence, Jonathan Villar has seen the bulk of the playing time at third base. It appears fantasy managers will need to wait a few more days for Davis to be cleared before he rejoins the Mets' lineup.
