Mike Moustakas Slumps To .218 Average
4 years agoCincinnati Reds infielder Mike Moustakas went 0-for-3 with a walk in a 7-2 loss to the Pittsburgh Pirates on Tuesday. Moustakas has been really struggling at the plate this season, hitting just .218 with three homers, 13 runs, and 11 RBI across 78 at-bats. He has really scuffled over his past seven games, hitting just .192 with one homer over that span. Moustakas is simply not making good contact as he ranks in just the seventh percentile in the league in hard-hit rate and the 20th percentile in barrel percentage. This is after ranking above-average in both categories for most of his career. Fantasy gamers shouldn't drop Moustakas but he belongs on the bench in fantasy until he gets it going at the plate.
