4 years agoArizona Diamondbacks outfielder Trayce Thompson was traded to the Chicago Cubs for cash considerations on Tuesday, according to Tommy Birch of the Des Moines Register. Thompson had started off the year at Triple-A, slashing .278/.350/.333 with a double, two walks and two runs scored over his first four games. With Ian Happ and Jake Marisnick on the injured list, this provides the Cubs with some organizational depth in the outfield should any more injuries crop up.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
