Manny Machado Erupts At Coors Field
4 years agoSan Diego Padres third baseman Manny Machado went 2-for-4 with a home run, triple, five RBI and two runs scored Tuesday against the Colorado Rockies. Entering Coors Field with just five hits in May, Machado got right with a two-run blast in the fifth inning followed by a bases-clearing three-bagger one frame later. Machado was in some pain after fouling a ball off his left leg in his final at-bat but should be considered day-to-day. The 28-year-old has been inconsistent in 2021, slashing .237/.331/.405 with five homers, five steals and 41 runs-plus-RBI in 151 plate appearances. He should remain locked in fantasy lineups if he starts in Wednesday's doubleheader against the Rockies.
