4 years agoMiami Marlins catcher Jorge Alfaro (hamstring) has one final hurdle to clear before the team can deem him ready to return to action. Alfaro, who just started a rehab assignment, needs to catch back-to-backs- and prove that he can handle that type of workload before he can be activated off the injured list. The Marlins believe he could return to the lineup as early as this weekend. Alfaro's 2020 struggles carried into this season before his injury, though he was a plus offensively in 2019, clubbing 18 homers and even chipping in four stolen bases in 130 games for Miami.--Tim Capurso
