Trevor Story Knocks In A Run, Swipes A Bag On Wednesday
3 years agoColorado Rockies shortstop Trevor Story went a combined 2-for-7 with a run scored, an RBI, a walk, a stolen base, and three strikeouts in Wednesday's doubleheader vs. the San Diego Padres. Story did all of his damage in Game 1, a 5-3 loss when he put the Rockies on the board with an RBI single in the first inning off of Yu Darvish. He picked up another single, a walk, and stole his fifth base of the year later in that game. He went 0-for-4 in Game 2 with three strikeouts. Story is now slashing .278/.351/.474 with four home runs, 21 RBI, and five thefts over 133 at-bats this season. Fantasy managers were probably hoping for more power at this point in the season but his home run numbers should start to tick up as the weather warms in Denver.
