4 years agoSan Diego Padres catcher Victor Caratini mashed a game-winning grand slam in Game 1 of Wednesday's doubleheader against the Colorado Rockies. The switch-hitting backstop's clutch salame came in the sixth inning as the Friars held on to win 5-3. Caratini also delivered another key knock in Game 2 to push the contest to extra innings in the eventual loss. The defense-first catcher has managed decently with the stick in 2021, slashing .244/.333/.397 with three homers, a steal and 27 runs-plus-RBI in 90 plate appearances. However, with his playing time projected to dwindle with Austin Nola healthy, Caratini is only worth a fantasy look in deep two-catcher formats and the DFS bargain bin.--Andrew Le - RotoBaller
