Justin Dunn Can't Escape The Fourth Inning Wednesday
3 years agoSeattle Mariners starting pitcher Justin Dunn only managed to pitch 3 1/3 innings against the Los Angeles Dodgers on Wednesday night. He exited with runners on second and third, but Will Vest managed to escape the jam and avoid saddling Dunn with any more runs. All told, Dunn allowed two runs on three hits and three walks with two strikeouts. Dunn still has a solid 3.72 ERA for the year, but he has yet to complete six innings in a start. If he could just keep his command and pitch count under control, he would be very effective, as Dunn's .181 BAA is the seventh lowest in major league history through a pitcher's first 20 starts. Dunn is worth a streaming start in good matchups, but otherwise can stay on the waiver wire.
