James Kaprielian Earns First-Career Win At Fenway
3 years agoOakland Athletics starting pitcher James Kaprielian allowed one run across five innings pitched to earn the win Wednesday at the Red Sox. Wow, was this a great result for the rookie left-hander as things almost completely fell apart for him in the first inning. Boston had the bases loaded with no one out and it looked like Kaprielian wouldn't last long as he couldn't find the strike zone. He escaped the jam with only one run allowed and cruised through four more innings, picking up six K's along the way. It was a solid start but Kaprielian isn't a must-add player in fantasy. His spot in the rotation is temporary as Mike Fiers (elbow) and Jesus Luzardo (hand) are on the IL. He's got a brutal matchup against Houston lined up in his next scheduled start Tuesday.
