4 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies catcher J.T. Realmuto (illness) did not test positive for COVID-19, though he is dealing with an illness. The Phillies placed Realmuto on the COVID injured list out of an abundance of caution. Manager Joe Girardi noted that in any other year, the veteran catcher, who has a slight fever and a stomachache, would go relatively unnoticed in the clubhouse- though the pandemic has changed the way these types of situations are approached. Despite his sore knee, Realmuto should be activated sooner than initially expected, given that he's not dealing with a positive test.--Tim Capurso
