4 years agoMilwaukee Brewers outfielder Christian Yelich (back) is set to begin his rehab assignment with Triple-A Nashville on Friday. Yelich was able to take batting practice on Tuesday and was hitting homers- so he's certainly progressing well in his recovery from a back injury. Manager Craig Counsell said that his return date is still to be determined and that the team will assess how he feels coming out of the weekend. It sure seems like Yelich could return to the big leagues at some point next week, barring any setbacks. Fantasy managers will hope that he can get back to where he was at the start of the year, as he was batting .353 through his first 10 games played.--Tim Capurso
