4 years agoToronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Ross Stripling pitched well in the team's 8-4 win over the Braves on Thursday, although he settled for a no-decision. He allowed two runs on four hits and a walk while striking out a season-high nine batters over his five complete frames of work. Stripling's start wasn't looking too promising after allowing both runs in the first, including a leadoff homer to Ronald Acuna Jr., but he settled down the rest of the way holding the Braves lineup to one baserunner over the next four innings. It was by far the best start of the season for the right-hander, but we'll need to see more outings like this before we can consider him for fantasy squads. Stripling will take his 5.91 ERA and 1.69 WHIP into his scheduled matchup at home versus the Red Sox next week.--Riley Mrack - RotoBaller
