4 years agoBaltimore Orioles outfielder Anthony Santander (ankle) will begin a rehab assignment on Friday with Double-A Bowie, according to Joe Trezza of MLB.com. Santander has been out since April 21 due to a sprained ankle, but he has recently resumed baseball activities. He was off to a slow start this season, slashing .196/.230/.321 with two home runs, eight RBI and five runs scored in 16 games. His .246 xBA and .357 xSLG suggest that he's been slightly unlucky at the plate to start the year, and managers will hope that upon his return to action he will put up numbers closer to the .261/.302/.505 line he's recorded over the past two seasons.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
