4 years agoMinnesota Twins starting pitcher Michael Pineda was solid despite being charged with the loss against the White Sox. Pineda pitched 5 1/3 innings, allowing three earned runs on four hits while fanning seven batters compared to three walks. The veteran right-hander was a bit erratic at times- though he was still able to limit the damage on the scoreboard. Pineda has pitched at least five innings and allowed three runs or less in each of his last three starts, though he's allowed a long ball in each of them as well. Despite the home run troubles, Pineda has been a serviceable back-end starter for fantasy managers in all formats- and will look to continue pitching well in his next outing, a rematch against the White Sox.--Tim Capurso
