Luis Castillo Struggles In Colorado
3 years agoCincinnati Reds right-hander Luis Castillo allowed eight runs over 3 2/3 innings of work in a 13-8 loss to the Colorado Rockies on Thursday. He struck out three and walked two in the loss. Normally a pitcher struggling in hitter-friendly Coors Field is not a cause for alarm, but this continues a concerning trend for Castillo, who has not pitched well this season. Overall, Castillo has a 1-5 record, 7.71 ERA, 1.79 WHIP, and 29 strikeouts in 37 1/3 innings of work. He has just one quality start on the season and has allowed four runs or more in five of his eight starts. Castillo needs to be left on fantasy benches until he starts to show better results. He will face the San Francisco Giants next.
