4 years agoMinnesota Twins first/third baseman Miguel Sano is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Athletics. Sano has now been out of the lineup for three of the last four games, as he is in the middle of a slump that has seen him produce just three hits in 21 at-bats in May. The slugger is certainly entering 'drop' territory in some shallow formats- and perhaps some deeper ones as well- as he is currently on-pace for career-worst numbers in average exit velocity, barrel rate, hard-hit rate, and expected slugging percentage. Sano may continue to lose playing time until he picks up his performance at the dish. Willians Astudillo will start at first base and bat sixth against Athletics' righty Frankie Montas.--Tim Capurso
