4 years agoKansas City Royals third baseman Hunter Dozier (concussion protocol) was placed on the seven-day injured list on Friday after he was involved in a collision in Game 1 of Friday's doubleheader, according to Lynn Worth of the Kansas City Star. Dozier collided with White Sox first baseman Jose Abreu while running to first base on a pop out in front of home plate, as both Dozier and Abreu were knocked to the ground from the hit and were forced to leave the game. Infielder Kelvin Gutierrez has been recalled to take Dozier's place on the roster.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
