4 years agoMinnesota Twins third baseman Josh Donaldson went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 6-1 loss to the Athletics. Donaldson supplied the only offense of the night with the Twins' bats going quiet- as he belted a solo shot off of Frankie Montas in the sixth inning. The homer traveled 381 feet at an exit velocity of 104 MPH, one of two batted balls that was hit 100 MPH or harder by the veteran third baseman. Donaldson is slashing .279/.364/.488 with four homers and 14 RBI and is on-pace for the lowest strikeout rate of his career. He's hitting the ball harder than ever and could be on the verge of one of his finest big league seasons, so long as he stays healthy.--Tim Capurso
