3 years agoBoston Red Sox starter Martin Perez managed to throw six shutout innings against the Angels Saturday, allowing only three hits and four walks. He struck out five. Perez found himself in trouble in the first inning, but lucked into a free out with a Shohei Ohtani baserunning gaffe and never looked back. Despite a solid 3.40 ERA on the year, this is Perez's first win of 2021. He's currently a streaming option for fantasy, and he'll look to deliver another strong outing in his next start, expected to come against the Phillies.--Doug Goldring - RotoBaller
