4 years agoMinnesota Twins first/third baseman Miguel Sano went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run in Saturday's win over Oakland. Sano took Jake Diekman deep on a 1-1 fastball to give the Twins a 5-4 lead in the eighth inning, effectively winning the game for his team. The homer was his third of the year. Arguably no one on the Twins' roster needed that moment more than Sano, who was in the midst of a 3-for-22 slump at the plate. The underlying numbers don't exactly point to Sano suddenly mashing homers left and right- though he's always had the talent and ability, so he might be worth monitoring if he was dropped in any formats.--Tim Capurso
