4 years agoTampa Bay Rays first baseman Yoshitomo Tsutsugo was traded to the Dodgers on Saturday for cash considerations or a player to be named later, according to Juan Toribio of MLB.com. Tsutsugo has struggled over his career with Tampa Bay, slashing .187/.292/.336 with eight home runs, 29 RBI and 32 runs scored over two seasons with the Rays. With injuries beginning to pile up for the Dodgers, they look to add some depth to their bench with the addition of Tsutsugo. In his career in Japan, Tsutsugo had flashed some power as he averaged over 31 home runs a year from 2014 through 2019. Maybe a change of scenery can help him regain some of that power, but for now he can be ignored in most formats.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
