4 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals first baseman Paul Goldschmidt extended his hitting streak to seven games on Saturday, as he finished 1-for-4 in a 13-3 loss to the Padres. During this hitting streak, Goldschmidt is slashing .321/.406/.571 with two home runs, five RBI and four runs scored. He has looked much better at the plate this month, raising his batting average 34 points from where it was at the end of April as he is now slashing .248/.303/.405 over 38 games. It's been a slow start for Goldschmidt, but managers are pleased with the results he's putting up at the plate now.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
