4 years agoNew York Yankees starting pitcher Domingo German authored another excellent outing in Saturday's 8-2 win over the Orioles. German pitched six innings of one-run ball, allowing four hits and a pair of walks while striking out six. The 28-year-old was missing bats all night, as he generated 19 whiffs, 11 of them on his curveball. German was on cruise control with a five-run lead by the second inning, and he worked 1-2-3 frames in four of his innings pitched. He's now notched a quality start with at least six strikeouts in four of his last five trips to the mound. German will carry a 3.62 ERA and a 37:8 strikeout-to-walk ratio over 37 1/3 innings into his next outing against the Rangers on May 20.--Tim Capurso
