4 years agoMinnesota Twins relief pitcher Taylor Rogers was saddled with his second loss of the season in Sunday's defeat at the hands of the Athletics. Rogers entered with the game tied in the ninth, getting a strikeout before surrendering a single to Ramon Laureano. Laureano moved to second on a fielder's choice, then advanced to third on a throwing error by Josh Donaldson, ultimately scoring the go-ahead run when Rogers hurled a wild pitch on a strikeout. After 9 1/3 scoreless innings to start the season, Rogers has allowed a run to cross the plate, whether earned or unearned, in four of his last five appearances. The southpaw's stock appears to be trending downward with Alex Colome turning his season around and Hansel Robles seeing the Twins' most recent save chance.--Tim Capurso
