3 years agoOakland Athletics relief pitcher Jake Diekman gave up three hits and two runs while only recording one out in a win over the Twins on Sunday. It was the second-straight game Diekman gave up a back-breaking homer to surrender the lead. Fortunately for the A's - but unfortunately for Diekman's fantasy managers - Lou Trivino came in to calm things down and was able to escape the inning and earn the win after Oakland's offense regained the lead. Diekman was one of the A's best relievers last season when he posted an unsustainable 0.42 ERA with a whopping 37 percent strikeout rate. The left-hander hasn't been as effective this season and will likely see lower-leverage situations moving forward.--Mike Schwarzenbach - RotoBaller
