4 years agoSeattle Mariners starting pitcher Yusei Kikuchi looked to be on the ropes in the first two innings of Monday night's game against the Tigers, but he recovered to throw six innings of three-run ball, allowing three runs on three hits and four walks, while striking out eight. Kikuchi managed to work out of a bases loaded situation unscathed in the first, but he allowed two home runs in the second to put the Mariners behind for good. It's disappointing that Kikuchi took the loss in such a strong matchup, but he was credited with a quality start as well. Fantasy managers may still have a window to buy low on Kikuchi, who has quietly been very strong all season despite his misleading 4.32 ERA.--Doug Goldring - RotoBaller
