Jake Cronenworth On Extended Run With Hits In 16 Of 19 Games
4 years agoSan Diego Padres second baseman Jake Cronenworth went 2-for-3 with a run scored Monday against the Colorado Rockies. The two-hit night stretches Cronenworth's hitting streak to five and he's now collected knocks in 16 of his last 19 contests including a .351 average in May. While the 27-year-old doesn't make much hard contact, his positional versatility and excellent plate discipline supports a high average and run-scoring opportunities atop a strong lineup. Overall, Cronenworth holds a .295/.373/.417 slash with three homers, three steals and 37 runs-plus-RBI in 179 plate appearances. He should be a steady rotational player in all fantasy formats.
