3 years agoColorado Rockies right-hander Jon Gray took the loss on Monday when he allowed seven runs (five earned) on 10 hits with one walk and one strikeout in a 7-0 loss to the Padres. This was easily Gray's worst start of the year as the Padres jumped all over him from the start. Manny Machado took him deep for a two-run blast in the bottom of the first to get things going. He would give up five more runs in the outing, although two were unearned due to errors. It just wasn't his day on the mound. The rough start raises his season ERA to 3.48 to go along with a 1.26 WHIP and 45:20 K/BB ratio over 51 2/3 innings. He'll look to get on track this weekend in a start vs. the Diamondbacks.--Jon Mathisen - RotoBaller
