4 years agoHouston Astros catcher Martin Maldonado has flashed some small signs of power heading into the team's matchup against the A's in Oakland. The defensive-minded backstop is slugging .421 in the month of May and has three extra-base hits over his last nine games. Maldonado is not known for his offense and is slashing only .155/.243/.258 for the season. The veteran should continue to see the lion's share of catching duties for the Astros but is not fantasy viable in any fantasy format at this time.--Joey C - RotoBaller
