4 years agoArizona Diamondbacks starting pitcher Luke Weaver (shoulder) was placed on the 10-day injured list on Tuesday with a right shoulder strain, the team announced on Twitter. Weaver has had some good outings this season, but has mostly remained inconsistent as he is 2-3 with a 4.50 ERA and 38 strikeouts in 40 innings of work. That being said, he had looked better in his last two starts against Miami and Washington prior to the injury, combining to throw 10 1/3 scoreless innings, allow just five hits and two walks and strike out nine batters. When he returns from the IL, he can be a potential matchup-dependent streaming option in deeper leagues and NL-only formats.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
