4 years agoChicago Cubs second baseman Nico Hoerner continues to make good contact against opposing pitchers. Hoerner went 3-for-3 with two runs scored and a RBI on Tuesday versus the Washington Nationals. Hoerner returned from a forearm strain on May 14 and picked up where he left off. Hoerner has entrenched himself as the Cubs second baseman and is now hitting .360 with nine RBI and three stolen bases in 15 games. Hoerner has been making great contact this year, but he's not a target for a manager seeking power. Hoerner should be considered for managers looking for a second baseman that can get hits and add some speed.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
