4 years agoChicago Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo (back) is considered day-to-day with lower back tightness following his early exit on Tuesday, according to Meghan Montemurro of the Chicago Tribune. Rizzo left Tuesday night in the top of the fourth inning after talking with trainers and manager David Ross during warm ups before the start of the frame. Rizzo was 0-for-2 at the plate prior to his exit, and he was replaced on the field by Kris Bryant. It seems like this will likely be a short-term issue for Rizzo, and managers should expect him back within a day or two.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
