4 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals relief pitcher Giovanny Gallegos pitched well on Tuesday, helping the Cardinals defeat the Pittsburgh Pirates 5-2. Gallegos pitched two perfect innings, striking out three without allowing a base runner. The effort gave Gallegos his eighth hold of the season and lowered his ERA to 2.13. Gallegos has been solid all season and deserves a spot on all mixed league rosters in leagues where holds are valued. He's also next in line behind an injury prone (and huge regression candidate) closer Alex Reyes.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
