Kyle Lewis Strikes Out Three Times Tuesday
3 years agoSeattle Mariners outfielder Kyle Lewis went 0-for-3 with three strikeouts Tuesday against Spencer Turnbull and the Detroit Tigers. Turnbull had it all working in this one, but that doesn't change the fact that Lewis is three for his last twenty with eight strikeouts. Lewis's seven walks in that span have kept his OBP palatable, but his upside is limited if he doesn't put the bat on the ball. His current 2021 strikeout rate of 24.5 percent does best his career 29.4 percent rate, but he hasn't balanced that level of swing-and-miss with much power thus far, as he has produced a .133 ISO which sits well below his career .194 number. Fantasy managers should hold and hope the power returns to expected levels.
