4 years agoMinnesota Twins relief pitcher Taylor Rogers notched his first win of the season in Tuesday's victory over the White Sox. Rogers entered in the ninth with the game tied, getting a quick out before allowing a single. The southpaw then sent the next two batters down swinging for a scoreless frame, his first in two appearances. Rogers lowered his season ERA to 2.81 over 16 innings pitched along with a 23:2 strikeout-to-walk ratio, seemingly getting himself back on track after a bit of a rough stretch. Rogers may not be the outright favorite for saves that he seemed to be a few weeks ago, though he should remain in the mix in the ninth inning for Minnesota.--Tim Capurso
