4 years agoNew York Mets relief pitcher Seth Lugo (elbow) worked a perfect inning in his first rehab appearance for Single-A St. Lucie on Tuesday. Lugo, currently on the 60-day injured list, is eligible to return to the Mets on May 31. His first rehab appearance is certainly an encouraging sign that he remains on track to return to the Mets on May 31. Once he returns, Lugo will be in line to put up elite ratios and strikeouts to go with a large number of holds, and perhaps some saves if closer Edwin Diaz struggles in the second half of the 2021 campaign. With the Mets bullpen currently taxed due to a number of starting pitchers sidelined, his return will be a welcomed sight for the Mets and fantasy managers.--Nick Ritrivi - RotoBaller
