Raimel Tapia Goes Hitless In Loss To Padres
3 years agoColorado Rockies outfielder Raimel Tapia went 0-for-4 with a strikeout in a 3-0 loss to the San Diego Padres on Wednesday. Colorado mustered just two hits as a team as Joe Musgrove whiffed 11 over his seven innings of work. Tapia had the day off on Tuesday and resumed his normal leadoff duties on Wednesday. He's currently stuck in an 0-for-11 mini-slump but his overall batting line of .276/.337/.382 across 152 at-bats is still solid. He's also got four home runs, 22 RBI, five stolen bases, and a 21:15 K/BB ratio on the year. Tapia is more of a safe floor rather than a high upside play as he doesn't offer much power or speed. But he still holds mixed-league value as the Rockies' leadoff man.
