4 years agoToronto Blue Jays catcher Reese McGuire hit a pair of singles on Wednesday, finishing the day going 2-for-3 with a run scored against the Red Sox. The 26-year-old has now recorded a hit in each of his last five starts as he is pushing teammate Danny Jansen into a near 50/50 split behind the plate. McGuire has a small platoon advantage since he bats from the left side, but Jansen isn't helping his playing time cause either with a lowly .141 BA on the year.
