Jake Cronenworth Rounds Bases The Old-Fashioned Way
4 years agoSan Diego Padres second baseman Jake Cronenworth went 1-for-4 with an inside-the-park home run Wednesday against the Colorado Rockies. Cronenworth laced a ball off the right field wall in the sixth inning and used his wheels to capitalize on a misplay by outfielder Charlie Blackmon to touch them all. The 27-year-old has been on a monster run, riding a seven-game hitting streak and collecting knocks in 18 of his last 21 games. Slashing .305/.378/.451 with four homers, three steals and 39 runs-plus-RBI in 187 plate appearances, the versatile infielder has been a key piece of the Friars hot streak and should be locked into fantasy lineups until he cools off.
