4 years agoToronto Blue Jays pitching prospect Alek Manoah's strong start to the year continued on Wednesday. The big right-hander posted a K-BB ratio of 10-1 over six innings of work while securing his third victory of the season. Manoah gave up just one run —a solo homer — on four hits, which dropped his ERA to 0.50 through three starts. The 11th overall pick in the 2019 amateur draft last pitched competitively in 2019 at the short-season A-ball level and has had no issues with the jump over Low-A, High-A, and Double-A. The 23-year-old has a K-BB of 27-4 and has allowed just seven hits in 18 innings. With a brittle Jays pitching staff, Manoah could reach the majors in the second half of the year.--Marc Hulet - RotoBaller
