4 years agoIt's been a slow start to the season for Detroit Tigers outfield prospect Riley Greene but he had three singles and drove in five runs on Wednesday. The outburst spiked his batting average up to .259 on the season. Along with struggling to string together hits, Greene hasn't been hitting for power. Just two of his 15 hits have gone for extra bases although he's helped out on the base paths with three stolen bases. A BB-K of 6-16 in 58 at-bats isn't anything to write home about but it also shows that the 20-year-old hasn't been overwhelmed by the more advanced pitching. Drafted out of high school in 2019 with the fifth overall pick, Greene was aggressively promoted to Double-A this season and has a 94 wRC+.--Marc Hulet - RotoBaller
