4 years agoHouston Astros starting pitcher Jose Urquidy (shoulder) is slated to throw a bullpen session on Thursday, per manager Dusty Baker. Urquidy was able to throw off flat ground on Tuesday, so he certainly seems to be progressing well. The Astros initially believed that he would miss a start or two, and it sounds like it will only be one turn in the rotation, given how well Urquidy is doing. The Astros should provide word on how the session went later today. Urquidy has pitched very well this season, going 3-2 with a 3.22 ERA and 33:9 strikeout-to-walk ratio in 44 2/3 innings.--Tim Capurso
