4 years agoNew York Mets starting pitcher Jacob deGrom (side/back) logged 41 pitches on Thursday during a rehab effort at Low-A St. Lucie, striking out eight throughout three innings. This is a step in the right direction for the multi-time Cy Young winner, who was pulled from a contest against the Diamondbacks back on May 9 and subsequently placed on the 10-day injured list. deGrom has racked up an impressive 0.68 ERA while striking out 65 batters throughout six starts on the year.
