Kyle Freeland Expected To Be Activated Next Week
4 years agoColorado Rockies left-hander Kyle Freeland (shoulder) pitched well in a rehab start on Thursday and is expected to be activated early next week during the four-game series at the New York Mets, according to Patrick Saunders of The Denver Post. Freeland allowed one run on two hits with four strikeouts, a walk and a hit batter over six innings in his start at Triple-A Albuquerque. He fired off 79 pitches in the outing. The 28-year-old suffered a shoulder strain during spring training back in March and looks ready to make his season debut. He's been a capable fantasy starter in the past, but it's best to wait and see how he looks before rushing to the waiver wire to pick him up.
