4 years agoChicago White Sox catcher Yasmani Grandal will rest on Friday versus the New York Yankees. Grandal only has 11 hits this season in 79 at-bats, but he has drawn 35 walks for a .350 OBP. The veteran has also hit five home runs and driven in 17 runs. Friday's absence from the lineup is just a routine day off and Grandal should be expected to return to the lineup on Saturday to face Gerrit Cole. Backup catcher Zack Collins will replace Grandal on Friday and bat eighth versus Jordan Montgomery.
